Why This Has Become The Most Confusing Roundabout In Michigan
On paper, a roundabout is not complicated. You yield for other cars, wait for your chance to hop in, and exit at whichever way your journey requires. Did I accidentally start turning the wrong way during driver's training and nearly cause a head-on collision? Yes, but that wasn't because the roundabout was confusing; I was just stupid.

However, a "roundabout" in Battle Creek connected to City Hall has become the subject of inner-city troll after multiple drivers in the same have been caught on camera getting confused by layout of the roundabout...mostly because it isn't actually a roundabout, nor is it part of the road.
Battle Creek's Infamous "Roundabout"
Last week, the city of Battle Creek posted a humorous video on their Facebook page to bring awareness to would-be visitors to the city hall of what is - and more importantly, isn't - part of the main road. In the video, you can see a red PT Cruiser driving catiously around along the sidewalks before eventually taking another route on the road.
While the video makes light of the driver's error, with the video ending with the establishment of a new sign blocking off the sidewalk and indicating where the city hall entrance is, the comments on Facebook are largely on the driver's side.

If one car does it, it’s a fluke. If three cars do it, it’s bad design.
