And It’s Another Ford Recall…

Seems like Ford is recalling a round of vehicles about once per quarter and, yes, we have another recall.

According to WOOD, North America is receiving yet another Ford recall and this time it effects just over 1.3 million vehicles. This recall involves a rear suspension and transmission control software issue.

This particular recall will affect Ford Explorer SUVs made from 2011 through 2017. The rear suspension toe link can easily break if the suspension of the vehicle moves around a lot. This can really making steering tough. Ford says they are unaware of any injuries due to the issue but there have been customers who said they ran into a curb or lost control of the steering when the break happens.

Dealers will be replacing the right and left toe links if you happen to own one of the recalled vehicles.

Ford will also have dealers replace nearly 125,000 2013 F-150 pickup trucks for a second time to keep the transmissions from downshifting into first gear on their own for no reason. The previous software update failed so if you have a 5 liter or 6.2 liter gas engine F-150 you need to bring it to your dealer for the fix.
