A Detroit Style Pizzeria Opens 395 Miles Away From Michigan
Detroit-style pizza has been a legend in Michigan since 1946 and continues to grow in popularity in the state and now growing in other states and countries.

Detroit Style Pizza
The first Detroit-Style Pizza was born with Gus Guerra borrowed some forged-steel pans from local auto plants to make the first square-shaped pizza. Since that discovery was made 77 years ago and the original Buddy's Pizza was born and several other new brands have come along.
Jett's Pizza is another Detroit-Style pizzeria chain that continues to grow. There are many great family locations around Detroit and the state that offer amazing Detroit-Style pizza from the Detroit Style Pizza Co in St. Clair Shores all the way to Charles & Reid Detroit PIzza in Traverse City.
The Detroit-Style pizza is growing outside the border of Michigan with 8 Mile Pi which is virtually based in the Bay Area of California and Canada getting into the Detroit-Style pizza game with 8 Mile Detroit Style Pizza in Toronto. There is another 8 Mile Pizzeria that has opened that is almost 400 miles from Detroit.
Newest Detroit-Style Pizzeria to Open
The newest of Detroit-Style Pizzeria to open is called 8 Mile Pizza - Detroit Style. This time a Detroit-Style pizzeria didn't open its doors or get its start in Motor City but opened a week ago in Pennsylvania.
If you are hoping to get a slice from 8 Mile Pizza you best be ready for a 6-hour drive from Detroit seeing how it's located at State College at 300 S. Pugh St. I don't think 8 Mile Pizza makes 6-hour deliveries but who knows, you might be able to order one frozen sent through the mail.
