75-Year-Old Man Arrested in Shooting Death of 74-Year-Old Woman in Kalamazoo County

Early Monday morning a 74-year-old woman was found shot in Kalamazoo County.

Fox 17 reports that a 75-year-old man was arrested for the crime.

The incident occurred in Texas Township, which encompasses 36 square miles in the southwest portion of Kalamazoo County.

The woman died at the scene.

According to MLive Media Group/ The Grand Rapids Press the 75-year-old man was the only other person at the residence at the Wyngate Farms mobile home community off Ninth Street and I-94.

Police have not released names and the investigation is ongoing. The suspect is being held at Kent County Jail.
