Several homes in three West Michigan cities have been the victims of several break ins and police in Kent County may have just rounded up 3 of the 5 suspects.

According to WOOD, Kent County authorities are in search of two alleged suspects who got away after police apprehended 3 burglary suspects Friday morning.

Grand Rapids Police we called to assist in an alleged break in in progress that was in another county.

Police were called near the area of Breton Road and 28th Street in Kentwood between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. Friday and officers spotted a group of five men who were in a vehicle and that is when police went into action.

When police approached the five men, all five men immediately hopped out of the vehicle then jumped in a nearby creek trying to flee from police. Cops were able to nab three of the five men and are still searching for the remaining two that are missing.

Officers on the scene did a quick search of the vehicle where they found stolen phones.

Investigators are looking to find out if the incident has possible links to a series of recent cellphone thefts that have occurred in Grand Rapids, Kentwood and Walker.
