Good news for singles everywhere: according to the 5th oldest woman in the world, flying solo will keep you alive.

Emma Morano, an Italian woman who, at 115, is the oldest living person in Europe, credits her long life to two things: eating three raw eggs a day, and never remarrying after getting divorced at 38.

According to The New York Times, Ms. Morano, born in 1899, has been eating 3 raw eggs a day since her teens when a doctor recommended them to counter anemia.

That puts her at eating about 100,000 eggs in her lifetime.

Ms. Morena told The New York Times another key to long life:

"She is also convinced that being single for most of her life, after an unhappy marriage that ended in 1938 following the death of an infant son, has kept her kicking. Separation was rare then, and divorce became legal in Italy only in 1970. She said she had plenty of suitors after that, but never chose another partner. 'I didn’t want to be dominated by anyone,' she said."

Ms. Morena's doctor, Carlo Bava, who has cared for her for the past 25 years, confirms she is in great health.

“She’s aware of the privilege of living,” said Dr. Bava, adding “If all my patients were like this, I could have spent my days reading newspapers.”

So, there you have it. Stay single, scarf down raw eggs, and you'll live crazy long.
