Farmers markets around the state are slowly opening back up since given the go from Governor Whitmer and the next to reopen for the season in West Michigan is the Zeeland Farmers Market.

According to the city of Zeeland, the farmers market will open in Downtown Zeeland on Saturday, May 23 and will be open every Saturday thereafter until September 26. The market will be set up at Elm Street Park from 9a-1p.

Obviously, they will be reopening with safety measures in place to protect everyone such as:

  • Only one place to enter and exit
  • Everyone must wear a face mask
  • Only one person per family is allowed in the market at a time
  • Washing hands before and after the market at the on-site hand washing station

One of my favorite things about going to a farmers market is being able to sample some of the yummy food, unfortunately, that will not be allowed at this time. The market will also not be selling crafts for now since it's considered "non-essential."

If you're someone who's interested in being a vendor you can fill out an application here.

The Fulton Street Farmer's Market in Grand Rapids is currently open every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday for the season.
