Billboards and Michigan go hand in hand, with the state ranking third in the country, with over 20,000 billboards. There aren't many restrictions on what can go on a billboard, as long as a vendor is willing to pay, but business advertisements, sporting events, political ads, and non-profits are among the most common around the state.

But that's not the only use for a billboard; sometimes it's to find a potential suitor or beg them to come back to you. Yes, in a truly daring Hail Mary move, a woman in Detroit has taken out an admittedly sort-of pathetic billboard in a last-ditch effort to get her ex-boyfriend to text her back.

Detroit Billboard of Love

On the corner of 9 Mile and John Rd. in Detroit, an electronic billboard is currently displaying a couple taking a photo in a mirror, with the words, "Take me back, Abey - I miss & love you. - Love, Jadyn" with hearts all around the photo. Very touching.

Due to the photo covering the woman's face and the names being androgenous, it was initially believed by many that the guy took the billboard out to get the girl back. But it turns out it's actually the opposite, and "abey" is a nickname for Abe, and it gets so much worse with some recently uncovered context.

Someone over on the r/Michigan subreddit did some digging, and if you thought taking a billboard out to get your ex back was humiliating enough, it gets even worse when you learn that Jadyn, the woman, cheated on Abe and then took a billboard out to get him back.

Assuming the uncovered Facebook posts are accurate, Jadyn even announced the billboard with a poem:

"Love isn't always quiet. / Sometimes it stands tall downtown, vulnerable and honest / asking to be seen instead of hidden. / this came from a place of accountability / of missing you in every small moment / of loving you even when it hurts."

As if Abe hadn't been through enough, now one of his most private dilemmas has been put on blast for thousands to see, and plenty think he was desperate enough to take out a billboard to get his girl back when she was the one who did and posted all the details on Facebook and on a billboard that cost hundreds of dollars.
