
Lions Player Accused in Alleged Kidnapping and Robbery
A Detroit Lions cornerback has been arrested in connection with an alleged kidnapping and robbery and is facing related charges.

Many fans first became familiar with Terrion Arnold during his standout career with the Alabama Crimson Tide, where he earned All-American honors in 2023. His impressive collegiate performance led to the Detroit Lions selecting him in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Arnold quickly established himself as a key starter in Detroit's secondary in Detroit’s secondary in his rookie season. He enjoyed a standout rookie campaign as the team went 15–2, earning votes for Defensive Rookie of the Year. In 15 starts, Arnold recorded 10 pass breakups and held opposing quarterbacks to a 55.6 percent completion rate when throwing in his direction.

Arnold's 2025 season was limited by injuries, including a concussion and a shoulder issue that ultimately required surgery. As a result, he appeared in just eight games, recording 31 tackles and one interception during the injury-shortened campaign.

His future with the team, however, has been thrown into uncertainty following his arrest on multiple felony charges related to alleged armed robbery and kidnapping.
Detroit Lion Charged in Connection With Violent Crime

According to WOOD TV8, 23-year-old Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold was arrested in connection with an alleged kidnapping and robbery in Tampa, Florida. Investigators allege that on February 4, 2026, three teenagers were assaulted, held at gunpoint, and robbed of their belongings during the incident.

Reports allege that Arnold and three acquaintances were staying at an Airbnb when property valued at over $250,000 was reported stolen. According to the allegations, instead of waiting for a police investigation, Arnold directed two associates to lure individuals they believed were involved in the theft to an apartment.
The reports further allege that Arnold instructed his associates to hide in a closet and livestream the encounter so he could observe and provide direction on how to handle the individuals upon their arrival.
Authorities also allege that Arnold and two associates later arrived at the scene, where the victims’ property was taken and the individuals were allegedly forced into a vehicle before being driven away.

Following their release, the victims contacted the Tampa Police Department, which determined that none of them were involved in the initial theft. According to the report, the individuals allegedly targeted by Arnold and his associates were not connected to the incident.
