Yes, we shouldn't pick our noses but we all do and it's not going to kill you but it is possible that you could get an infection in your nasal tract from digging in your nose with dirty fingers.

It's not just guys that pick their noses, I have seen plenty of women going to town while they are driving. Resisting the urge to pick your nose is essential and can keep you from spreading unwanted bacteria.

I have never seen an adult eat their boogers after picking a big old greeny but the other day I witnessed a kid who was in probably second or third grade use his nose as a buffet and it blew my mind.

Why Do Kids Eat Their Boogers?

Recently my son, my sister, and I were at an amusement park and this kid was sitting on the ride next to his brother and just picking his nose, looking at his finger, and then eating those boogers. We couldn't believe it because he did both nostrils back and forth until the ride started. The kids next to us saw it too because I could hear them say, "Oh, he's eating another one." Needless to say, it was gross but why do kids do this?

I found out that kids eat their boogers because they are curious, it's a convenient way to get rid of them, and from what I hear they taste salty. I get the being curious part but disposal and salty taste I just don't get. Regardless, kids picking boogers aren't going away anytime soon but it can become a nervous habit.

The experts say not to scold your child for picking their nose or eating the boogers but try to praise them when they use a tissue to clean out their nose. I'm not an expert and agree with half of that but I would say that is gross and please don't eat your boogers.
