In the '90s, the Red Wings and the Avalanche hated each other so much, the goalies fought each other and its worth a look back. Because it's funny.

Chris Osgood of the Red Wings recalls the fight as 'funny', considering he idolized Roy growing up. 'I got a couple of swears in there,' Osgood told MLive.com years later.

Roy was the scrappiest goaltender to get into the Hockey Hall of Fame. In fact, the Osgood fight occurred a year after he was bloodied by another Wing goalie, Mike Vernon.

The fisticuffs on April 1, 1998 was not foolish, it led to 31 minutes of penalties levied against Roy, and 15 to Osgood.

Oh, and the Red Wings won the game, 2-0 at the Joe.
