Watch Two Michigan Towns ‘Home Town Takeover’ Pitches [Video]

As I mentioned earlier, Hesperia in West Michigan has made a pitch to get a 'Home Town Takeover' from HGTV. Now Manistee has entered the fray as well.

Both cities are vying for some help in restitution for their charming downtown areas, which have been neglected by their struggling economies.

The deadline to submit videos to HGTV's 'Home Town Takeover' was February 4, and now you can view the videos both Manistee and Hesperia have made to woo the show's hosts their way.

Manistee enlisted the help of James Earl Jones, who grew up in nearby Dublin, to voice their video. I guess it's hard to compete with Darth Vader to help convince a network!

Hesperia may not have the Dark Side to help them win recognition, but they make up for it with authenticity and a home town charm.
