Thanks to the internet's metal historians, we are able to enjoy this rare footage of Corey Taylor's first show with Slipknot in 1997. The clip, which has begun making the rounds on social media, features a 23-year-old Taylor performing songs from the band's first releases, including 1996's Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat. His mask looks to be an early incarnation of the one he donned for the band's self-titled cycle.

The video begins with a title screen from the Slipknot fan website MFKR that reads:

On Aug. 24, 1997, Slipknot played their first ever concert with Corey Taylor on vocals at the Safari Club in Des Moines, Iowa.

MFKR.COM is proud to bring you this concert on video. We asked that you DO NOT upload this onto any other YOuTube channel or website.

Thank you for supporting MFKR1.com.
