Derby Station on Wealthy Street in East Grand Rapids closed abruptly in July. We now know what's replacing it.

The Grand Rapids Business Journal reports that Bowdie’s Chophouse is planning to open a restaurant at 2237 Wealthy St. SE in late fall.

This will be Bowdies third location, with two existing restaurants in Lansing and Saugatuck.

Tyler Bowdish, president of Bowdie’s, told GRBJ,

“We feel Bowdie’s perfectly matches the boutique, small-town feel that Gaslight Village is already known for and are beyond excited to bring our talented staff, attentive service, exquisite cuts and handcrafted cocktails all together to provide a one-of-a-kind experience.”

What can we expect at Bowdie's in East Grand Rapids? Here's how they describe their Saugatuck location:

We want your dining experience to feel unique, intimate, and of the highest quality. Our dining room, which only seats twenty-five, feels like a classic steakhouse. Linen table cloths and candles set the atmosphere while keeping the focus on the reason you come to Bowdie’s — the steaks."
