Looking for something fun to do outdoors this summer? And free is never a bad thing, right? Well, there are a bunch of movies you can watch outside in Grand Rapids this summer, with the the kiddos, for date night, or guys/ girls night out -  for free!

Sunset Cinema Back at Studio Park Downtown Grand Rapids in 2024

Hosted by Celebration Cinema and Downtown Grand Rapids Inc., you can see some of your favorite movies under the stars at Sunset Cinema this summer.

Sunset Cinema is held in the piazza at Studio Park on Saturday nights at 8p.m.

Seating is first-come, first-served, and guests should bring their own lawn chair or blanket. You can bring your own food or concessions are available. Events are held rain or shine. Dogs are not allowed on the turf.

East Grand Rapids Movies in the Park Returns in 2024

You'll also be able to catch flicks outside in East GR's Movies in the Park series, on the shores of Reed's Lake!

The movies are showing on Friday nights at John Collins Park. It's free to attend, and the movies start at dusk.

The City of EGR also says attendees should note alcohol, barbecues, grilling, and open fires are not allowed in John Collins Park, and all dogs must be on a leash no more than six feet in length.
