Miss Blockbuster? Check Out This New VHS Store In Grand Rapids
When I was a kid, my siblings and I's favorite thing to do was walk across town to the video store and just browse. My mom would always let us rent one movie. It felt like Christmas, opening up the VHS box and popping that plastic rectangle into your VCR (the orange Nickelodeon tapes were the coolest). There was a special spot reserved down under for people who returned their tapes without rewinding.

These are problems of the past; now everyone watches their movies on streaming. However, the past is cool again, and in recent years, physical media such as vinyl records have seen a resurgence. Retro fashion is all the rage, and now VHS tapes are back, too. If you miss the days of watching movies on your CRTV, then this new store opening in Grand Rapids is just for you.
Bardertown Video
On the corner of Porter St. and Byron Center Ave. SW, Bardertown Video, will be opening a storefront, renting and selling a vast collection of primarily VHS tapes. For $1, you can rent any movie in the store, or for $2, you can purchase any film. Want to rent a VHS but don't have a VCR to play it on? Don't worry - the store also offers VCR rentals.

The store is aiming to open on August 1st, but will be hosting a sneak peek day on July 18 and 19. You can learn more about the store and its hours on their official website or follow them on Facebook for more updates.
