Does Grand Rapids Really Need Another Chik-Fil-A? Well, We’re Getting Two
Chik-Fil-A lovers, get excited. The fast food chain plans to open two more Grand Rapids-area locations.
Recently we told you that a new Chik-Fil-A would be moving into the space once occupied by Golden Corral on Alpine Ave., which permanently closed earlier this month.
The existing building is set to be demolished, and a new 5,000-square-foot Chik-Fil-A with drive-thru, indoor dining, area, and an outdoor patio is going in at 3461 Alpine Ave NW. The plan is to open the new Walker Chik-Fil-A in Fall 2023.
Chik-Fil-A to Open in Cascade Township
That's not the only new Chik-Fil-A set to open in the GR area though.
According to Grand Rapids Business Journal, a Chik-Fil-A is coming to 5528 28th St. SE, next to the Cascade Township Meijer.
The new Cascade Township Chik-Fil-A should open this winter.
How Many Chik-Fil-A Restaurants Are in Grand Rapids?
This will bring the number of Chik-Fil-A restaurants in metro Grand Rapids to six.
Currently, there are four Chik-Fil-A locations in operation:
- 2750 E. Beltline Ave. SE in Grand Rapids
- 545 Edgeknoll Drive SE in Grand Rapids
- 356 Wilson Ave. NW in Walker
- 700 54th St. SW in Wyoming
What do you think, does Grand Rapids need more Chik-Fil-A restaurants? I will say every time I drive by the E. Beltine location the drive-thru line looks INSANE.
But is there another restaurant you'd like to see open up in GR instead? A new local spot, or maybe even a chain restaurant we don't currently have in Grand Rapids?
