Tree Falls on Car Driving Down 28th Street [VIDEO]

Storms swept through West Michigan Saturday causing damage and power outages:  One man even experienced a tree falling on his car as he was driving down 28th Street Saturday afternoon.

WZZM-13 reports that Michael Craig was driving home on 28th Street between Burton and Kalamazoo Avenues around 4p.m. when the incident occurred near Indian Trails Golf Course.

He attempted to hit the brakes, but it was too late, branches came crashing through the windshield.

Craig is experiencing some neck and back pain, but is grateful that his injuries were not more serious.

28th Street was closed for over an hour while crews removed the downed tree.
