
Traverse City Stabbing Victim Sues Walmart For Negligence
11 people were injured in a stabbing attack at the Walmart in Traverse City in July, and now one of those victims is suing Walmart for negligence.

Bradford James Gille was charged with 11 counts of assault with intent to murder after stabbing the victims at a Walmart store near Traverse City, Michigan, at 4:43 p.m. on July 26, 2025.
Gille used a 3 1/2 inch blade knife to randomly stab each victim from the list below:
- 29-Year-Old Female
- 38-Year-Old Male
- 39-Year-Old Male
- 41-Year-Old Male
- 55-Year-Old Male
- 65-Year-Old Female
- 67-Year-Old Female
- 70-Year-Old Male
- 80-Year-Old Female
- 82-Year-Old Male
- 84-Year-Old Female
Gille, who has had a long history with mental illness, was assessed as not competent to stand trial on murder and terrorism charges, and is currently in the care of the Center for Forensic Psychiatry in Saline.

Traverse City Lawsuit: Stabbing Victim Blames Walmart
According to WOOD TV, the 41-year-old stabbing victim Aaron Boudot, who was stabbed twice while protecting his wife and four children, has filed the first lawsuit against Walmart for negligence. Boudot was stabbed once in the back and once in the arm. He received emergency surgery, and is dealing with physical and psychological trauma from the attack.
Boudot made a statement through his lawyers that said, "My goal with this lawsuit is to hold Walmart accountable for my permanent injuries and trauma my family endured to compel Walmart to make the changes necessary to prevent something like this from happening again."
