Epic Trailer for the New Ghostbusters Movie Is Here! [Video]

Hold onto your Ecto Coolers, the first trailer for the new Ghostbusters movie has finally been released! Who you gonna call?

The revamped Ghostbusters film, starring Slimer, Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, and of course, Chris Hemsworth, will hit theaters on July 15. For now, the first trailer for the film is giving audiences a taste of what the movie will be like.

It looks amazeballs.

Rather than simply being a reboot of the old Ghostbusters, the new movie appears to be a sort of sequel-reboot. Bill Murray & Co. already saved NYC over 30 years ago, and these new Ghostbusters have been investigating the paranormal for quite some time. Yet, the widespread outbreak ghosts means the ladies have to find effective ways to banish the monsters. The idea for the timeline of the new Ghostbusters seems to be similar to that of Star Wars The Force Awakens: just long enough that the previous movies' events could be perceived as an urban legend, but just recent enough that they're not forgotten or implausible.

Judging by the trailer, the new movie will be full of the action, spooks, and comedy that made the original Ghostbusters such a classic.

Plus, now we'll get to watch hot chicks get slimed! And really, who wouldn't want that?
