What I have learned is dieting really isn't a thing anymore since scientists and doctors have discovered what bodies need to stay healthy so it's more of eating the right foods and the right kind of exercise for your age. Ask your doctor for advice and they will point you in the right direction.

I have to admit, this is not a fun top 10 list but a list you should take note of if you would like to extend your time on this earth with the ones you love most.
#10 - Chronic Liver Disease and Cirrhosis
Nearly 1,800 Michiganders died from liver disease last year. Liver disease is caused by infections, inherited conditions, obesity, and misuse of alcohol.
#9 - Kidney Disease
Just under 2,000 Michiganders lost their lives due to kidney disease in 2022. Diabetes and high blood pressure are the two most common causes of kidney disease. A healthy meal plan and proper exercise can definitely prevent damage to your kidneys.

Just under 3,500 people from the great state of Michigan lost their lives in 2022 from diabetes. Sugar builds up in the bloodstream because the pancreas doesn't produce enough insulin. This can be caused by a combination of genetic or environmental factors.

Alzheimer's disease, unfortunately, claimed nearly 4,200 Michiganders in 2022.
