My absolute favorite hobby is going vintage shopping with my friends. A pretty good chunk of my wardrobe comes from thrift shops and vintage stores, and one of the best places in Grand Rapids to go vintage shopping is in the heart of Downtown Grand Rapids on S. Division.

This weekend is the best time to go as 9 shops are having a massive spring cleaning and scavenger hunt event where you could nab some great finds and $300 in gift cards.

South Division Shop Hop

This Saturday, May 18th from 12 pm to 7 pm,  Second Vibess is hosting a Spring Cleaning Shop Hop in the SoDiv Vintage Hub between Fulton and Wealthy. They will be joined by eight small businesses including Rewind and Decaydence Vintage where each business in the Hub will have its own specials, like Second Vibess' "Fill-a-Bag" or a $5 pile at Ontono.

There will also be a scavenger hunt that upon completion will get you entered into a drawing to win $300 across all of the participating shops. Camille and Kaitlynn of Second Vibess are "excited to see everyone come out to enjoy SoDiv and all the amazing businesses that call it home."

Joining the S. Division Vintage Hub for the first time is Rewind Grand Rapids, which opened its doors at the beginning of May. I spoke to the owners, Caleb and Tina, an engaged couple who are opening this store as a leap of faith. They chose this location because of events like this.

We really want to be a part of the community and add to what is going on. I think there will be a lot more businesses popping up here over the next couple years. We believe this area has potential.
