The rock gods have blessed Tom Keifer with one of the genre's great voices, and he's touching us all with the spirit of rock 'n' roll in his new song, "Touching the Divine," which is premiering exclusively here at Loudwire.

The singer and his #keiferband are firing on all cylinders with this gritty, blues-infused gem that is set to appear on his upcoming album, Rise. To go along with the song, Keifer has a new lyric video courtesy of Instagood Promotion that plays into some of the more spiritual themes of the track.

The vocalist tells us, "The entire Rise record is colored with the adversity that everyone on this earth faces at times, as well as the feeling of victory that comes when you survive those challenges and overcome them. 'Touching the Divine,' the second track released from Rise, written by Tom Keifer, Savannah Keifer and Kendra Chantelle, is about more than just what we go through in life, but what it is that gets us through those dark times and seasons. For us it was an easy song to write, because we all three lean hard on faith when those times present themselves in our lives. Everyone has their own things they draw on that give them strength to keep going. 'Touching the Divine' is a glimpse into not only some of what we have been through, but what led us through it."

Keifer, his wife -- percussionist, pianist and singer Savannah Keifer — and backing singer/percussionist Kendra Chantelle are joined in the #keiferband by lead and rhythm guitarist Tony Higbee, bassist Billy Mercer, drummer Jarred Pope and keyboardist Kory Myers.

"Touching the Divine" follows on the heels of the recently released track "The Death of Me." Both tracks are featured on the upcoming Rise album, due Sept. 13. You can currently get your reservation in to pre-order the album here.

Keifer is currently wrapping up a tour leg, but will return to the road in October. See all of his scheduled dates here.
