Concerts are finally back in full swing, and it's been a ton of fun to get out and find an excuse to enjoy your favorite artists. Last night (June 16th) New Kids on the Block brought their Mixtape Tour to Grand Rapids, and with them came Salt N Pepa, Rick Astley and En Vouge.

The concert was incredible- my fiancé and I snagged last second floor tickets, unaware of the non-stop party we were about to attend in downtown Grand Rapids at Van Andel.

(Yes, that is our new best friend Donnie Walhberg behind us)

This tour is one of the most unique - normally, you have each act play a l30-90 minute set, then there is an intermission, then the next act.

Not this show. They had two stages, which were constantly rotating back and forth between artists, which also allowed each act to have multiple sets, and for the party vibe to keep going with non-stop music for the 3+ hour event. It truly felt like a mixtape come to life.

The non-stop fun of the show also allowed for silly gimmicks like this "changing room cam" in which Donnie flashed a Griffins shirt, showing some love for Grand Rapids along the way.

With the secondary stage, that allowed the members of NKOTB to wander around the arena and get closer to fans... and one little girl happened to be at the right place when Joey McIntyre made his way to the floor and spotted her. That's when this once in a lifetime moment happened.

I don't know much about this girl, but she was standing next to her, and I believe her mom said her name is Harley. But, you could have told me she just won the lottery based on the expression on her face for the entirety of this moment.

While, not all of us will get to stand side by side with one of our favorite boy band members, it's pretty amazing to see someone get to live her dreams so early in life.

The Mixtape Tour continues on, and will return to Michigan later this month. If you want details, you can visit the NKOTB website.
