OK, when I heard that there was a remake being filmed for "Poltergeist".

I was skeptical, to say the least. OK, I was downright annoyed. There are some movies you probably shouldn't try to remake.

"The Exorcist" is one of those, and so is "Poltergeist".

But now, Ghost House has released the first trailer for the remake of "Poltergeist," and I have to admit it's freaking awesome!

They've got the creepy closet action with the little girl talking to the ghosts early, the TV scene with the little girl, the rope vanishing into the closet, the little girl being taken, the psychic, the creepy f****** clown doll...they've got all the elements that kicked so much ass in the original.

Sadly, the psychic is now not the little person who was fantastic, but is a guy. I like the actor they've got for that part, though. So that's OK, too.

I was concerned that Sam Rockwell is the dad, but it looks OK in the trailer.

The little girl isn't named Carol Anne, but maybe that's to avoid the "Poltergeist Curse", and prevent any more deaths around the franchise.

I will be going toward the light to see this one when it comes out.
