This week, our good friends in Wayland made an announcement on their Facebook page, that longtime drummer, Tyler, has stepped away from the band to focus on his personal life and family. Tyler also posted to his personal Facebook page.

In a few weeks, Wayland will be rocking the new 20 Monroe Live downtown Grand Rapids with Shinedown. You've got the chance to see they guys sooner than that though! Wayland is back in West Michigan this week for four concerts! One of them is a fundraiser for the Wayland High School music program.

The night before Thanksgiving, traditionally the biggest partying night of the year, Wayland brought the party back home to Grand Rapids! Check out Wayland performing "Back to Life", "All We Had", and "Come Back to Me" at The Intersection Nov. 23.

20 Monroe Live is the new entertainment venue opening in Grand Rapids this February. They've been generating a lot of buzz in the community, and have promised a great schedule of concerts for their opening, and they weren't kidding!

A couple months ago, when we announced the Free Beer and Hot Wings Live Show at the Intersection, and the Wayland Hometown Holiday Extravaganza, we had an idea: How about we have a contest to get a new local band up on stage for the show? It turned out to be pretty cool, as dozens of bands sent in their videos, and we received many, many, many thousands of votes on them.

Today on Segment 16, the guys finish going through all the local bands that submitted videos to get onto the Wayland show at the Intersection on November 23rd. The guys picked some of their favorites, and then...figured out how they would pick their top band for the show.

Today on Segment 16, the guys begin to go through and watch all the band entries for the Wayland Hometown Holiday Extravaganza contest. Which bands will they like, which will they hate, and how much trash are they going to talk about all of them?

It's time for you to pick the band to complete the lineup of the Hometown Holiday Extravaganza! Wayland, Devin & the Dead Frets, and The Autumnatic are looking for another great GR band to play the show. We've gotten a lot of great submissions, now it's time for you to vote and tell us who should play the show! ...

Today on Segment 16, the guys made a huge announcement, giving everyone the news of their live show coming back to the Intersection on November 23rd! It'll be a blast, with games for you to participate in, live Braggadocio, live Segment 17, and more!

97-9 GRD, Wayland and Free Beer and Hot Wings are going live from the Intersection the day before Thanksgiving, and we want your band to play the show! Your band could be on stage with Wayland in front of a packed house!

Saturday night, September 10th, local Michigan boys Mutual Live returned to West Michigan to rock Allegan County Fair with Wayland, and Royal Bliss. Even though Mutual Live are based out of Tennessee now, this is still the place they call home, and they love coming to play here!

Saturday night, September 10th, Wayland was scheduled to play the Allegan County Fair, with Royal Bliss, and Mutual Live. Before Wayland could play, the show was cancelled due to weather. But Royal Bliss and Mutual Live did get to play.
