Three teenagers have admitted to vandalizing the Lacota Cemetery in Geneva Township. Wood TV 8 reports that two 15-year-old boys and a 13- year-old girl say they tipped over and damaged nearly three dozen headstones for fun and because they were bored.

Police are searching for suspects involved in the damage of dozens of headstones in Geneva County. The Van Buren County Sheriff's Department got a report Tuesday of more than 30 headstones tipped over or damaged at the Lacota Cemetery on Baseline Road, Wood TV 8 reports.

UPDATE:  Initial information from Michigan State Police indicated two fatalities. Authorities later confirmed one fatality as a result of the accident.  A multiple vehicle crash has caused I-94 to close in both directions in Van Buren County near Hartford and Watervliet.
