Before Wayne Static passed away last year, he was about to hit the road on another tour, and placed an order with Dean Guitars for some new gear. He'd asked for a couple new custom versions of his Dean Modifier ML for the trek. Unfortunately, he never got to tour with these guitars.

Snot, members of Coal Chamber, System of a Down and Dope as well as Static's band will be on hand to pay tribute to the late Static-X frontman.

A rep for Wayne Static has claimed via a statement that drugs played no part in Static's passing.

Wayne Static, the founding member and frontman of Static-X, has died at the age of 48.
