On Saturday, February 4, 2017, I got the chance to sit with Brent from Shinedown before the sold out show at 20 Monroe Live. We talked about new Shinedown music, some of the amazing opportunities the band got on this last tour, inspiration, and more.

Today, I got to talk with Josh LeMay, the singer and guitarist for Detroit rockers Citizen Zero. They're coming to have some Christmas fun with us on Tuesday, December 20th at the Stache for the GRD Christmas Party! Josh and the band are really looking forward to the show, and hanging out with Grand Rapids.

Today, I got to speak with the singer of a band I've been a fan of for quite some time, In Flames! Anders called to talk about the new album, Battles, the show coming up December 1st with Hellyeah, and their new drummer.

Avatar is a cool Swedish metal band that's beginning to break through here in the US with their song "The Eagle Has Landed", from the new album Feathers and Flesh. They're out on tour with Avenged Sevenfold and Volbeat, and we were lucky enough to get them into the studio to tell us funny stories! The guys are really funny.

Before Ghost went inside the Grammys and won the award for Best Metal Performance for "Cirice", they were subjected to the morons on the red carpet who have no actual idea who any of the real musicians are. These "reporters" don't do research or prepare for the interviews, they just see someone standing on red flooring and start asking stupid questions.

Before rocking The Intersection Wednesday night with Red Sun Rising and All That Remains, We Came As Romans stopped by the GRD studios! The band chatted with me about being from Michigan, their new album, and rocked two acoustic songs on GRD!

Godsmack and Breaking Benjamin hit the Kellogg Arena on September 24, which is next week! Have you purchased your tickets to the show yet? Godsmack released their first ever album in 1998, which was one of the first rock albums that I ever listened too! To promote the upcoming tour, Godsmack drummer Shannon Larkin called into WGRD.

Trapt came to Grand Rapids on Tuesday, July 21st for a show a The Stache, and beforehand, they came by GRD to talk about their new album, being independent, new band members, touring, and play some acoustic songs!

What, you never heard of Watain? If you are looking for some really extreme heavy metal, you should look no further than Watain. It's not everyday that I get to talk to the man himself when they made it state-side last year.

Halestorm has released their brand new album Into the Wild this past week and from what we hear, it kicks a lot of ass. If you listen to WGRD, you are no stranger to Halestorm. Last time they were here, we went go karting, hit the batting cages, and enjoyed their awesome show at Fifth Third Ballpark. Arejay figured it was a good idea to call into WGRD and see what's up.

This is one of those videos where some will think it's scripted and others will think it's genuine. Cate Blanchett was interviewed about her new movie, Cinderella, and seemed to be offended by the quality of the interviewer's questions.

Patrick Moore is a Monsanto lobbyist for the weed killer Roundup. During an interview with French TV channel Canal+, he said that the active ingredient in Roundup is safe to drink.
