Chris, Ty, Pete, and Dylan have just finished (pretty much) the new Trapt album, 'DNA', which comes out on October 27th. They literally finished some overdubs on Tuesday, and then hit the road the next day!

"Instead of partying on our days off, we're hungover and working."

Trapt came to Grand Rapids on Tuesday, July 21st for a show a The Stache, and beforehand, they came by GRD to talk about their new album, being independent, new band members, touring, and play some acoustic songs! On having their own studio to work at their own pace when recording.

"It's all coming together, and we're really going to be able to put out quality records every time, and do it on our own terms, and whenever we want to."

Trapt had a lot of early success with their first album, with 'Headstrong', 'Still Frame', and 'Echo', and Chris admits that all the success so quickly while they were young affected them quite a bit.

"We barely were legal to drink, and we had this crazy song going, and it just warps you. You're 21,22-years-old and you have this massive song, and you just  think life's easy! You really do. You think 'this is how life is', and it's not at all."

They band also talked about the new band members, Dylan and Ty, the tour, and played a couple songs acoustic for us! The 'Passenger' acoustic version you might have heard on the air, but the acoustic 'Headstrong' is a WGRD.com exclusive...enjoy!
