While Soundgarden have been enjoying their resurgence since last year, frontman Chris Cornell hasn't abandoned his solo side.  Cornell announced his plans to go on a solo acoustic tour later this Spring.

The 25-date trek, called the "Songbook Tour", will be pretty intimate as it's just Cornell and his guitar.  This will give the singer a chance to be more interactive with his fans in this "Storytellers" setting.  Expect Cornell's setlist to include songs from Soundgarden, Audioslave, and even Temple of the Dog.  Unfortunately there is no Michigan date but "Songbook" will stop by the Vic Theatre in Chicago April 22.  The full tour schedule can be found below, as well as a clip of Cornell performing an acoustic version of "Call Me A Dog".

As we reported earlier, Soundgarden are set to release Live On I5, their very first live album, on March 22.
