Son Didn’t Want to Live to 18 So His Mom Stabbed Him to Death

A Holland mother was recently arrested for allegedly stabbing her son to death and told authorities her son had a death wish.

Authorities were recently called to the Bay Point Apartment Complex in Holland, Michigan, for a domestic dispute around 4:15 a.m. When officers approached they found a 39-year-old woman holding a bloody knife and ordered her to put it down. The woman refused to cooperate with officers who were forced to use a Tazer on her to take her into custody.

The woman turned out to be Katie Austin Lee and was arraigned Monday afternoon on charges of open murder and resisting arrest. Lee said some strange things on a 911 call and to investigators.

Mother Claims Son Had a Death Wish So She Allegedly Stabbed Him to Death

According to WOOD, Lee is the one who made the 911 call. Court records said "she couldn't get her son to stop breathing and had been trying for a while. She advised her son asked her to help him stop breathing because he did not want to turn 18"

Court records showed Lee and her son tried to overdose early in the day to commit suicide but six hours after that she cut his throat and arm after he passed out. The boy would have turned 18 this Saturday.
