We’ve all seen a challenge posted on social media and thought… I bet I could do that, but that’s usually as far as it goes; but not for a senior at Michigan State University.

According to WZZM13, Derrick Metcalf saw on Snapchat a challenge for eating 100 McChicken sandwiches from McDonald's in 24-hours without throwing up. He wasn't convinced he'd get 100 down but thought since he was a fan of the McChicken, he'd definitely be able to put a dent in this challenge.

He told WZZM13 that he spent the weekend leading up to the challenge working out and burning calories.  He started Monday morning around 4:30 am with the 10 sandwiches he ordered at midnight.  Then grabbing a few at a time during the day.

He posted his progress on Snapchat which included ordering the sandwiches, preparing them after refrigeration and the one time he chopped up the sandwich for some variety.

He says the hard part was choking down the mayo... which, seriously,  WHY do they always have to put SO MUCH mayo on the sandwich? (He told WZZM13 he kept ordering the sandwich with lettuce, tomato, and mayo because that’s how the sandwich comes and he was keeping in the spirit of the challenge.)

Anyway, halfway through the day he had over 5,000 views on Snapchat and his story was the MSU Snapchat Stories page, he told WZZM13. Even with all the support, he didn’t get to 100. He choked down 24 but couldn’t do any more than that.

He told WZZM13, that he skipped a day before ordering more McChickens… but this time without the mayo.
