It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Or will be.

A quick moving system could leave between 4-8 inches of snow on portion of West Michigan Saturday night into Sunday morning.

As of right now, the Hazardous Weather Outlook projected by the National Weather Service says most of the snow will fall just north of the Grand Rapids metro, but areas of Newaygo, Muskegon, and Mecosta Counties could see some measurable snow.

The area mainly north of a Muskegon to Alma line is expected to
see snow Friday night through Saturday. Some of the snow could
become heavy leading to impacts.

But the forecast isn't locked in yet, and the storm path could shift south, so be prepared.

Some forecasts are calling for areas north of that line to receive up to 12 inches of snow, which will make travel very difficult if you're heading up north.
