Shopping For New CD’s is Pretty Sad These Days

I went to go and pick up the new Slipknot album at Best Buy in Grandville a couple of days ago. I remember when I could go there and sift through thousands of CD's to find something obscure, but these days, that's just not possible.

Take a look at this CD rack! The movie section is about 4 racks front and back filled with Blu-Rays and DVD's. The CD's though? Just this....

Someday, this will no longer exist unless you go to a specialty store like FYE or a local record shop. Gone are the days at Best Buy of searching for that special CD. On the bright side, their prices for music is pretty good!

I have an iPod and I already ported the new CD to my iPod, so now the CD will collect dust. I get it, I really do! We live in a digital age, but nothing beats going to the store and grabbing a physical copy of something. At least I know that when my iPod break (chances are it will), at least the CD will still be there when the digital file gets corrupted.
