Massive Mechanical Animals Coming to Robot Zoo at Grand Rapids Museum
We're all looking for ways to keep the kids entertained this summer. How cool does this look? An exhibit called "The Robot Zoo" is opening up later this month at the Grand Rapids Public Museum.
The Robot Zoo at the Grand Rapids Public Museum
The idea behind the exhibit is explore the idea of nature as a master engineer. At The Robot Zoo, you'll find eight robotic animals including a nine-foot giraffe, a ten-foot chameleon, a rhino, a platypus, a fly with a ten-foot wingspan, and even a giant squid!

Plus there are more than a dozen hands-on activities. You'll get to explore interesting real life animal characteristics like how chameleons change color, giant squids propel themselves, and flies walk on the ceiling.
When Does the Robot Zoo Open at the Grand Rapids Public Museum?
The Robot Zoo Exhibit opens at the Grand Rapids Public Museum June 22 and runs through September 22, 2024.
How Much Does the Robot Zoo Cost at the Grand Rapids Public Museum?
The Robot Zoo is free with the price of general admission. Cost is $12 for adults, $10 for those 62 and older, $5 for students with a valid student ID, kids 3-17 are $5, kids 2 and under are free.
