Reports of Assault at Child Care Center in Allendale

There have been multiple reports of assault against children at the Rainbow Child Care Center in Allendale, Michigan.

A three month old child at the day care center was found not breathing. The child was hospitalized and treated at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital before being released to the parents.

Ottawa County Sheriff Department, Child Protection Services and the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs are all investigating the incident.

Two other children under the age of one have also allegedly been assaulted by a staff member. The twenty two year old staff member accused of the assault has been placed on administrative leave.
