After weeks of anticipation, the Red & White Game featuring players from both the Detroit Red Wings and our very own Grand Rapids Griffins took place last night (Tuesday) at Van Andel Arena. View our photo gallery after the jump, including pictures of former Red Wings goalie Chris Osgood saying hello to fans.

Red Wings and Griffins players were paired off into two teams, Red and White, in what showed shades of a Michigan hockey all-star game. There were a few collisions and scuffles, but obviously no fights broke out. The Red team ended up with the victory over the White team in front of 10,174 fans after Brent Raedeke's game-winning goal with 8:34 left in the third period. Jiri Hudler added another goal with 1:59 left in the game to make the final score 6-4.

Watch the video below to hear what former Griffins players thought of their return to Grand Rapids. The Griffs home opener takes place October 14 against the Toronto Marlies. Ticket packages for the GRD-Zone with the Free Beer & Hot Wings Show are still available in 7 and 14-game options.
