Norton Shores Police are searching a property linked to Jeffrey Willis, the man accused of attempting to abduct a teenage girl and murdering Rebekah Bletsch, and who is a person of interest in the disappearance of Jessica Heeringa.

Thursday, police were seen searching a garage and a home that used to be owned by Willis' grandfather. The Michigan State Police mobile crime lab was also parked outside the home.

Authorities searched the property back in May after learning that Willis had spent a lot of time there.

Willis has been charged in the 2014 murder of Rebekah Bletsch, the attempted abduction of a Muskegon County teenager, possessing and making child pornography, and surveilling an unclothed person without their consent.

A minivan owned by Willis matches the description of the vehicle connected to the disappearance of Jessica Heeringa from a Norton Shores gas station in 2013.

WOOD-TV8 reports that a report that they obtained from the Michigan State Police stated that, “investigators believe Jessica was murdered by Jeffrey Willis, but her body has not been located to date.”
