Police Dog Finds Lost Kid in Michigan Corn Maze
It's that time of year when families are visiting their local corn maze. One family lost track of their child but thanks to a police dog the kid has been found.
Corn Maze
Every fall the corn maze craze begins all across Michigan. You can find a corn maze or two in almost every county in the Great Lakes state.
I'm a big fan of the haunted corn maze and usually, my son and I will pop out once a year to Abandoned Acres in Sparta, Michigan, to get our scare on but most corn mazes are not designed to scare you.
Corn mazes started popping up around 1993 and most are designed to be walked through during the daylight hours so families can have fun with their smaller children. Corn maze ideas came from the earliest labyrinths that date back over 4,000 years and farmers keep getting more creative each year.

Police Dog Finds Lost Kid in Michigan Corn Maze
The Erie Orchard corn maze is located in Monroe County. A family thought they would walk through the corn maze for fun but little did they know they would get an unexpected scare.
According to WXYZ, a family entered the corn maze and while walking through, the mother turned her head for a moment and her 3-year-old son was gone. The parents couldn't locate their son so a manager at the Erie Orchard called in the Monroe County Sheriff.
Deputy Jack Hall brought his K-9 partner Bane who was able to locate the boy in 3 minutes. The family had an article of clothing the boy had worn a few hours earlier and gave it to the deputy who then let the K-9 get a whiff and he was off to the races.
Deputy Hall said the K-9 found the boy about a quarter of a mile away and about 15 corn rows away from one of the maze trails. Another officer walked the young boy out to his parents. You can watch the full video below.
