West Michigan Parks
There are hundreds of parks in the West Michigan area so finding places for the kids to play, go for a walk, enjoy the outdoors, and take a bike ride are virtually endless.
Not everyone lives near a park so often non-residents to a particular area have to travel to have access to a park. Some parks offer more than others and that can also attract parents to travel a little bit to take their kids to a park that has more to offer.
Maplewood Park in Jenison
According to GRKids.com Maplewood Park is located at 8000 12th Avenue in Jenison. Maplewood Park offers families who are residents of Georgetown Township a splash pad, playground, and a fishing pond.
Maplewood Park offers a lot to its community with an athletic field, basketball court, places to grill out, lake, pavilion, picnic tables, restrooms, tennis court, volleyball, and walking track.
As you can see from the description and the photos, Maplewood Park is a very nice park in a very nice community. You can see why a non-resident would drive to visit this park with their kids.
West Michigan Park is Now Charging Admission
According to Georgetown Charter Township's Facebook page, beginning July 8 non-residents of Georgetown Township will have to pay to enter Maplewood Park.
Non-residents will now have to pay $5 per adult and $3 per child to enter Maplewood Park for the day.
