Brr.

The National Weather Service's Grand Rapids Office has some advice for everyone: Stay inside over the next couple days, if you can!

It was 6 degrees at lunchtime, and with the wind chill it was 12 degrees below zero out at the airport.

There are lots of closings out there. It's nasty weather. Thanks polar vortex!

The weather folks are saying we're gonna get 1 to 4 inches of snow the rest of today and overnight, and that the lake-effect snows are going to mean 1 to 3 more inches of the fluffy stuff.

Like we haven't had enough snow already? It seems like we've had like a foot over the past few days!

I was out at the WGRD Pond Hockey Classic in East Grand Rapids over the weekend, and it was cold, windy and snowy.

It's really bad out there because there's blowing snow and we're going to get "dangerously cold wind chills" of 20 to 25 degrees below zero through at least Wednesday morning, the weather service says.

The coldest air is coming this afternoon through Tuesday afternoon.

So, basically, you can get frostbite in 30 minutes or less. And good luck driving on northbound and southbound roads because they're gonna be a mess.

Hey, the weather service says not to mess around out there, OK?
