Brooklyn Bodega is near the intersection of Jefferson Ave. and Fulton St. downtown Grand Rapids, at 10 Jefferson Ave SE.

The owners encourage customers to "come get a taste of Brooklyn" at the new spot.

Their menu includes bagels with a variety of cream cheese, pancakes, French toast, bagel sandwiches, Boar's Head meats and cheeses, deli sandwiches, subs, coffee, quick bites like fries and chicken tenders, deli salads like chicken and tuna salad, and the option to build your own salad.

According to Wood TV 8, Malika Jefferson has teamed up with her husband on the concept, inspired by his childhood experiences in Brooklyn, New York.

They began leasing the building in October, and after renovating the space once occupied by Mannie's Pizza, Brooklyn Bodegai is now open for business.

Their hours are Monday through Thursday 9a.m. to 5p.m. and Friday and Saturday 9a.m. to 6p.m.
