We're all in the afterglow of the return of one of the loudest, most colorful weekends in Michigan. Last Weekend (June 23-26) was the return to Sherwood Forest when thousands of electronic and jam music lovers packed Rothbury, Michigan for Electric Forest.

This festival has been going on since 2008, when it was originally known as the Rothbury Festival, before being rebranded to Electric Forest in 2011. It saw it's biggest attendance in 2015 when 45,000 people showed up to dance and enjoy live music together in the middle of basically... nowhere.

While Electric Forest is no longer two weekends long, it did return after a 2-year hiatus this past weekend for the first time since the COVID pandemic, and lit looked like everyone was ready to move and enjoy themselves.

In fact, we saw some pretty amazing videos come from this year's festival:

But one of the coolest things came from a member of the Electric Forest Facebook group when they posted two people they met that they never expected to be fans of the festival: Two MSP officers.

Andrew Barker left a post on the wall for the facebook group saying "Texas Cops Could Learn 100 things or 2 from Michigan Cops" with this photograph:

And lets be honest: it kind of rules.

Generally in my experience, seeing officers at music festivals can feel jarring or invasive, because you're always worried they're going to try to kill the vibe. But these two officers not only joined in on the fun, but they also had some candy of their own to show off.

And can we point out how this officer is definitely a butt guy?

So, shoutout to these two officers for making their patrol a little more fun, and joining the community for the weekend.
