Michigan’s Silver Lake Makes List of Top U.S. Beach Towns

Beach season is almost upon us! Thank. Goodness.

We've got so many beautiful beaches in Michigan, I'm actually kind of surprised only one made Huffington Post's lists of America's Best Beach Towns. I mean, if it were up to me, all eight of the destinations on the list would be in Michigan...

But, growing up along the shore of Lake Michigan, maybe I'm just a little biased.

Plus, I get it, they're trying to be fair, spread the beach-appreciation across the whole United States!

Congrats to Michigan's Silver Lake for making the list!

"Silver Lake Sand Dunes is a beachy oasis in the Midwest. Bike trails and farmer's markets line the streets, while lighthouses and enormous sand dunes frame the coast of lake Michigan."

 

What other cites made the list? Like I said, if I'd written it, there's no doubt my hometown of South Haven would have made the list!

Seriously, look at that sunset.
