Michigan’s Desiree Linden Wins the Boston Marathon
Michigan native Desiree Linden has won the women's division of the Boston Marathon.
WZZM-13 reports that Linden is a resident of Charlevoix. She finished second in the Chicago Marathon in 2010, and the Boston Marathon in 2011.
Linden's unofficial finish time for the marathon is 2 hours, 39 minutes and 54 seconds. This win makes history, kind of, as Linden is the first American woman to win the marathon in 33 years.
