Michigan Is One Of The Least Hard Working States In America

Michiganders are getting a bad rap when it comes to working hard in 2020.  According to a study by WalletHub, Michigan is 47th out of 50 when it comes to hard work.

The average American works about 1,780 hours a year, or about 34 hours a week.  This falls right in the middle of the pack when it comes to the average hours worked in countries across the globe, with WalletHub reporting Germans working about 390 hours fewer each year and Mexicans working about 360 more hours a year.

When it comes to which states work the hardest and the least hardest, the hard working spirit definitely favors states with lots of agriculture or natural resource harvesting.  Check out the 5 hardest-working and least hardest-working below.
