Two Michigan Attractions Make List of Must-Visit Hidden Gems in U.S.
It's no secret Michigan is great for vacations.

In fact, Michigan's Mackinac Island was recently named the Top Summer Vacation Destination in the U.S.
There's a new ranking of the "Top Must-Visit Hidden Gems Across the U.S." - and two spots in Michigan made the list!
Now, I'd argue that one of the attractions is DEFINITELY known and loved by Michiganders - in fact, I've mentioned it already! But maybe out-of-staters are less familiar with it.
Yes, Stacker has declared Mackinac Island as one of the top hidden gems in the U.S.
They write,
Home to the historic Fort Mackinac, Michigan's Mackinac Island is today a quintessential American summer getaway town. In the virtual absence of cars, you can get around the island by carriage tours and bicycles, in between sampling the island's famous homemade fudge and taking in Indigenous art at The Richard & Jane Manoogian Mackinac Art Museum.
Now if you ask me, there are plenty of other Michigan attractions that should have made the list. Picture Rocks National Lakeshore, anyone?
There's also Isle Royal National Park, Sleeping Bear Dunes, the Soo Locks, Frederik Meijer Gardens, and so many more!
See what other Michigan spot made the cut below - and maybe get some ideas about hidden gems to visit in other states.
For example, did you know South Dakota is home to the world's only "Corn Palace"? There's also a Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona and a Wizard of Oz Museum in Kansas with over 2,500 pieces of Oz memorabilia relating to both the film adaptation and Baum's book series!
