If you like lumberjacks, flapjacks, craft beer, live music, cider, great food, and most importantly wearing flannel, get ready for the return of the Flapjack & Flannel Festival.
Lumberjack competitions are always fun to watch on TV, I bet it's even better in person. The Flapjack & Flannel Festival is coming to the Traverse City area at Timber Ridge Resort on November 15.
Lumberjack Competitions
A lumberjack competition (also known as timbersports) is an athletic contest where participants compete in events based on tradition logging skills such as chopping, sawing, speed climbing, and log rolling.
These competitions originated from informal contests between lumberjacks in logging camps and have evolved into professional sporting events held internationally, such as the Lumberjack World Championships.

Celebrate Fall At Michigan’s Flapjack & Flannel Festival
If you're looking for a great way to celebrate the fall, then look no further than the Flapjack & Flannel Festival at Timber Ridge Resort on November 15. f you are deer hunting in the area that day, it might be a good place to visit for your midday in between hunts. Or, if you are looking for a place to take the kids and enjoy some flapjacks and cider while the rest of your household is out hunting, the festival might be a great day.
The VIP doors open at 11 am, and the general admission doors open at Noon. The day wraps up with live music at 4:15 pm. There are multiple lumberjack shows throughout the day, all-day adult dodgeball, and a kids’ playground.
There will be a variety of flapjacks to choose from along with chili, pasties, and a huge variety of craft beers and ciders.
