A man who lives in Newaygo County scored big time with a $2 million dollar lottery scratch off victory!

According to FOX 17, the anonymous 56-year-old says when he got stuck in traffic he popped in a BP gas station on West Main Street and snagged a pair of Cashword tickets but it was the 100X that was on the tickets that really struck him.

The man said, "as the clerk was getting my tickets, the sun hit the front of the 100X The Cash ticket just right and it sparkled and caught my eye, so I asked for one of those too. I got to my truck and scratched the ticket off. When I saw I had a winner, I ran back inside and right away the clerk asked if I was all right. I showed her the ticket and she started crying. Neither of us could believe I had a $2 million winner!"

The mans wife was a little snarky about it and didn't believe he had won so she sent him back to the store to make sure the ticket was verified and it was.

Wednesday the man went to Lansing to cash in the ticket and just took the one time pay out of $1.3 million...not bad for being stuck in traffic. He says he's gonna buy some new wheels, pay off bills and keep the rest for retirement.

I think I'm going to the store now...there has to be traffic around here somewhere!
